2017 qx50 trying to identify item underneath driver side kick panel near fuse box is this part of the immobilizer anti-theft system

That isn't factory, although it may be for a Nissan OE accessory like lighted sill plates or undercar welcome lights. It's likely a fuseholder, wrapped in swaddling clothes so it doesn't rattle.

good call, thinking your spot on the wire from this got stuck in the parking brake housing and blew the fuse to the dome lights over and over, then would be ok for 1 to 5 days ...could not see it until laying upside down under dash, unplugged and re routed but wire looked damaged (yellow and red), all sill plate and puddle lights, sonar ect all still working...was hoping it was not a after market key bypass receiver or something....thank you ...this is a great site...next is to adjust the cable to the transmission (the in park start thing put in neutral to start random) only 40k on the 2017 xq50 dealer never did service adjustment but a lot of oil changes...helpful hints welcome

I believe the P/N Switch on the 7-speeds is part of the Valve Body. If it's starting erratically, I'd look at your brake lamp switch or the park solenoid switch on the shifter, both are more likely than a bad P/N.
