Can anyone tell me what the curcular bracket that goes around the shifter is? it has 2 bolts in it, one on each side and on one side it was under a washer and snapped off and now my stick comes in and out of my transmission. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.
In the ESM they call that a "socket".
It holds the control lever into the bearing.

Without a picture, I'm guessing it's the holder bracket. Common for the rubber piece to break from age.
