It amazes me how many people go through all the trouble of setting up a camera, video taping, uploading, then posting on the forums "what is this sound?" when they could have figured out exactly what's making noise in less than a minute with a $4 tool.

Is that the back side of the crank pulley? What was it rubbing against?

that looks like a dumb problem. cover not seated right?

No it was seated fine. i wacked it with a mallet and now its quiet. Maybe the ross pulley doesnt like the rb30 or something. The cover does have brand new seals so maybe they are just a bit stiff.

My old CAS used to make a crazy knocking sound eventually it crapped out. The new used one I got resolved the sound.

must be your cover, mine is fine with a ross ballancer.

i just looked under my car yesterday as i have broken yet another motor mount.. anyways i have a Ross balancer also, no rubbing but it is VERY close so i could see how a new gasket might give you an issue
