ideas on nitrous and turbo......

i have a 96 240 with 33k it is an auto....i want to turbo it and put a zex nitrous kit only a 55 shot...im thinking i would us it to get out the hole? anyone have any thoughts on this............thanx

5 speed swap first!what are your goals with the car? are you making a drag car? Drifter? Autocross?Sounds like you are wanting a drag platform...What is your budget? Are you looking at low boost with that low shot?too much spray + too much boost = bye bye engine..If you are going to boost much and spray.. you are going to either have to swap in some low cr pistons.. or retard the crap out of your timing... just things to think about as you plan for this build

for now low boost 8psi turbonetics kit.....would that be ok with the 55 shot...and yes mostly drag i want to go after my friends mustang its supercharged 600whp....i dont really have a budget i own a tattoo shop so i need something to do with the money .......thamx for the help

Since you are setting up for drag AND you are getting nitrous I sould suggest staying auto...

Nitrous is really ALOT more safe with auto because you over-rev with nitrous and kiss your 33k miles engine good bye.

5 spd would be better for autoX,drifting and if you are going for handling but auto transmission will do fine for drag

if u want high horsepower and dont have a budget get a rb26dett. you'll need more than a turbo running on 8psi and a 55shot to take on your friends mustang
