Ok, I've read somewhere that porting can be done to a turbo. I've heard that you can port the compressor side and the exhaust side. Also you can grind the exhaust fins 20 degrees for better air flow. What do you guys think? I think I might try this on my turbo and see how things go.

on my old dsm i had the stock 14b, i was running 18 lbs and melted my motor so since the motor and everything was out i desided to port my 14b. i used a air grinder, i tried to use a dremel but it would have taken 5 times as long, i ported everything, exhaust side the 02 housing. but for the comp side i just took a dremel and cleaned up the inner side of it and then polished it and same for the intake side but the top of it i did port and also polished that. as for the exh. and the 02 side i ported it to where there was just enough metal where it wouldnt crack. the results i had... it was set at the stock boost (10.5) and it felt just as powerful as when i had it at 18. but a lot more reliable. if need be i could go more in depth but thats basically what i did

the best porting you can do to a stock turbo if its internal wastegate is to port the wastegate.
