I'm in the planning stages of a turbo setup, and I'm trying to utilize a hacked s13 maf. The same concept used in the s14 maf doesn't seem like it can work on my s13 maf. Please see some pictures that I took to understand why:

As you can see, there's a circular part where the air seems to go through unmetered, and there's a little rectangular section where the maf sensor seems to be.
Since you can't really hack the s13 maf the conventional way, I'm wondering if it's feasible to bore out the circular part to allow the total swept area to be .37 times larger, and allow for 370 injecors.
I have a lathe, so I can accurately bore out this section of the maf. What I want to know is will it still work in concept?
I made some estimations to work out the math...
MAF radius: 1 in.Metered section: 3/4 x 1/2
total swept area = 3.14(1)^2 + (3/4)(1/2) = 3.515----
New swept area = 3.515*1.37 = 4.81New swept area of circle = 4.81 - (3/4)(1/2) = 4.435-----
New Radius-4.435=3.14r^2r^2= 1.412r = 1.18
So the amount to bore the side of the circle would be .18 inches.
It doesn't seem that I can cut nearly .2 inches from the side of that circle without cutting into the metered section. But with the lathe, I can probably just change the position of the new circle altogether..
Hacked maf people... lets get some insight.
BTW, there is one member who goes by the name of singlecamsam who claimed to have successfully hacked the s13 maf. If you're still around, can you let us know what you did? Thanks...
