I think that part you broke is interchangeable with the ka transmission piece... I don't know the exact name for it either I just call it the throwout bearing slider thingy I know thats real technical terminology right there! I may have a ka one sitting around but I know for sure I have one in my spare transmission still.... I'll have to pull it out and do some measuring on it to let you know the diameter of it and what not so you can compare it to your sr's thingy. I get to go to the machine shop today and pick up my head hehe... I'll have pictures of that up later on today. My head gasket should be in today as well so I might have it all assembled before I have to go to work but we'll see how that pan's out. I've yet to get any sleep... stupid 3rd shift.... so I'm gonna go crash now l8ter

Ben, when it's painted, you have my vote for NICO Ride of the Year. No doubt.

ya i feel ya, im the same way. when i do something like a swap i replace as much stuff as i can afford and go as thorough as possible. no point in only going half way if ur gunna do something. but u prolly kno that if uve seen my thread. u need to keep the wide tires tho IMO. man i think the area u guys live in is sweet for car wise, cuz its like everyone gets together and has meets and ****, i think thats awesome. sure up here in canada we have the opportunity for nicer cars but in most places like where i live the car scene is pretty bunk, only meets are like street wheelers.

ben i need your advice...

problem 1

I just came back from the shop andthere is oil leaking down the driver side of the engine block,it was dripping before but when it tries to crank - it gushes. their is a puddle on the floor.

its coming from between the AC compressor and the exhaust manifold. is it the head gasket?

if so, I have another - but I am trying to narrow down the possible sources of the leak.

problem 2

spark plugs and the CAS are not getting fire. I am going to bring an alternate fuse box to try my luck. but it seems like there is a short in the harness or maybe a bad fuse.

first off. i am going to say it could be coming from your turbo oil feed line possible. but what do you mean the spark plugs and cas are not getting fire.

pull the plugs out are they all oily. if so then it would be your head gasket. causeing the problems

2 -

the mechanic is nice but vauge, he admits that his electrical knowledge is slim. on the injectors there is a test light, it doesnt light up. he says the distributor is not getting current and therefore nothing else will work.

it seems like the upper harness has no juice, but the starter cranks everytime. just for reference...

1 -

where is it

turbo oil feed line, okI am running the stock t25. I thought those onlyhave use antifreeze/coolant lines... hm we may have connected it wrong while we had to motor out afriend did it, hm.

ill check the spark plugs tomorrow and that will tell me for sure.

ok I found it, Ill need to check these first. then

so it would be 3 and 2, that looks like the exact spot where my leak is coming from. I should go ahead and get/make some ss lines.

im on a budget, what do you recommend.

i would say that ss lines would be a good investment. make sure you use form a gasket on the threads. or thread lock for the oil feed one.

my electrical abilities are not very goood either. because even i hav e to track dow na wiring problem right now and it sucks.

and i dont mean to brag but i think out of all the cars i have ran into lately my exhuast sounds the best. maybe i ma lucky
I run 16lbs on my s15 turbo, 550c injectors, z32 maf, fmic, rom tune etc, it runs perfect I have a wideband hooked up as well, its spot on, I dont know, my friend drovethe car and it sounded pretty beast... I was hoping SR`s would sound deeper like dsm`s, but I guess not, cant win em all.

DOnt rattle can your car, your dad will probably tell you, but rattle can is laquer paint and will be the week link in your final paint job. If you want a temp deal, go spend 50 bucks on catalized base coat.

You need to add extra zipties to the Honda emblem so you drag the son of a betch!

Idaho Tuner, how's your PBM stuff feel? I know everyone says it looks awesome but no one really has told me how it feels on a semi-normal and spirited drive. People have said it's great stuff on the track but I haven't heard much else.

haha ok cmoody.

the PBM stuff is freaking great. i have a pretty high preload set on the back and i was kinda being disapointed by it because i set it so stiff and i was liek this is crap. with my huge tires in the back. where if i had smaller tires i could camber them in more and have a softer ride....... well any how i was like well i am going to try something before i go make adjustments to the rid height. i left the preload alone and turned the damping to the softest one. wow did it makea difference. its incredible now. all i need to do is adjust the front and it will be grippy as hell around the corners. it stiff but alot softer. i liek it.

I am taking it to a wiring specialist. no worries.

they are definitely a good investment. do you think they can be put on while the motor is in?

I am wondering the same thing. Can SS lines be put on while the motor is in, and if so, whats the best way to handle the one on the back of the head?

now that we both have this problem I sat and let it marinate.

here is the back

whatever that big black hose is, has to be detached.

a screw driver has to be used to get in from the back and undo the clamp.

then the new line gets pushed inand miraculously gets tightened from above...

I'll have to look and see if its possible, but I hope it is.

hey guys the easiest way to get the one behind the head is to unbolt the transmission crossmember and let the transmission drop then you can reach back up in there from under the motor. i installed my lines with the head off. but when i just dropped my transmission last week that is how i realized it would be one of the best ways to get to the one behind the heard.

little update for me.

got my avc-r tuned at 16psi freaking pulls like crazy. my dad was driving while i tuned and once he started driving he didnt let me have it back haha. i gota little clip of him driving to upload later. lol 150 with my dad driving is freaking crazy. seems like full boost is kicking in late though. and i think it might be my manifolds affecting it. but when it kics in 1st gear. all the way to redl line is like 1 sec haha. its crazy
