Hello again guys,
Thanks for the help on the my last oil gear/pump thread. I decided to go with the Reimax gears since i got them for $300 CAD shipped brand new for the 81mm Chromoly. I have also decided to go a different route with the head. Wont be going to 9k, stock redline is pretty good as is.

My new question is that i am looking to get the ID1000s with a Greddy 11mm fuel rail. The ID1000s only come in high impedance, stock is low impedance. I found this link (http://help.injectordynamics.com/suppor ... -injector-) to swap over from low to high impedance. Is it really that simple? I am running a AEM v2 which i also believe is able to run either high or low impedance.

So what my real question is, after i modify the resistor box, these are pretty much drop in and giver (with tuning of course). Or will I need to put spacers on the fuel rail to make the fit. In the pictures they seem to be longer than the OEM style injectors. Anyone with first hand experience with this rail and injectors?

Thanks

all you have to do on the rb26 when switching to high impedance injectors is cut the fuel injectors resistor box off and run all six fuel injector wires to the 1 power wire that goes into the resistor box. So you are just deleting the resistor and running straight 12 volts to the injectors since the resistor box is no longer needed for high impedance injectors. I just did it with my rb26 with the Injector Dynamics ID2000cc 11mm injectors.

Well I'm glad it's that easy for the impedance switching.

Do you guys know if the ID injectors and the Freddy fuel rail will for onto the head without spacers seeing as the ID injectors are longer than OEM ones.

@RRRRB sorry. I am already getting a killer deal on BNIB injectors locally

My greddy fuel rail had no issues with the ID2000 in the 11mm adapters. You do have to install them sideways at an angle cause they don't Clear some parts of the intake but it works.

I deleted my resistor box long before my engine was even running. I removed it preemptively while making my whole wiring harness for the car in preparation for using a standalone ecu (haltech). Almost all standalones I have come across allow you to switch the injector pulse signal between high or low impedance which makes the resistor box redundant in the first place. I also recently installed ID1000's on my 26 with stock fuel rail to replace my crappy RC1000's. Idle was night and day smoother and could get it leaner than previously. They tune out great, you will love it.
