Lol Thanks :D Still no luck w/ the hood deflector? A few Americans on this site have purchased it online from a US company ... won't say Nissan on it, but it looks virtually the same.

Go to Wooddash.com, that's where I got mine. It's almost exactly the same as the Nissan version, I've had no problems with it at all.

I keep remembering the SB commercial with Megan Fox in a tub. And now you posted this topic title, my heart can't take much of that, stop it.

Car looks good. A suggestion if possible. Keep current rims for winter, but get some 16 or 17" ones for good weather, I think you'd like the look more.

Also my appologies to the guy^ stuck in "The 'Whee".

Lol ... The car is actually wearing her winter tires and rims. I have the SL rims for the summer.

I don't want to spend money right now on factory rims for the summer. I'm thinking when the stock conti tires are done (hopefully in a few summers from now) than at that time I 'might' get new rims. Depends on whether or not I have a full-time job.

I don't know where the snow is this year ... It's very strange. We've had nothing really besides extremely cold temperatures.

We received a couple cms overnight and are getting a few more throughout the day but nothing major :D It's great ... Although I kind of would like some to give the winter tires a chance to do some work !!!!

This was an "icy bath". (In the GA mountains last week). The Versa did great on the snow.

I saw the pic by clicking on the link. We've had our share of those types of 'icy' baths. In fact it's snowing right now, but car is parked in the garage.

I called it icy bath, because the water/soap literally froze on the outside of the car, and our driveway turned into a skating rink ... Then it snowed three days later. Now I am not washing it until Spring ...

I had to run my G through the automated car wash last night to get all the salt off. There were icecicles hanging on the car wash arms, no way I was washing by hand. But we are supposed to hit 50 degs this weekend.

Ya our temperatures are still in the freezing mark. And because of my sunroof I can't go through the automated car washes ... dealer told me not to. Plus I hate paying $10 for a wash and having the car coming out all dirty still. I love washing it by hand, but this will be the last time for a few months. I'm not risking turning our driveway into an ice rink again ...

Never heard of the sunroof vs automated wash thing. I ran my Versa through and it had the sunroof, as does my G and both of my S13 coupes I have/had as well.

Is it because of the brushes scratching the plastic sunroof?

No ... the sunroof is not plastic. It is glass. And it's because I had some issues with it leaking this summer. Dealership fixed it, readjusted it and said no car washes. The pressure is too strong and the water would come inside the cabin. So now I save by money by avoiding car washes and wash it myself.

I have heard it is bad to wash your car in below freezing temps as the water gets in lots of little cracks and then freezes into ice - expanding. This causes these areas over time to loosen up.

It's probably why the dealer said not to take a car with a sunroof through a car wash in the winter - you can't get all the water out from the rubber seal around it so it would ice up inside and potentially cause issues.

Of course realistically, weather always happens - so what can you do?

Ya I rarely ever wash my car in the winter. Since October I've only washed it twice. The second time (this past time 'icy bath') was the only cold day where it froze. But the sun was out and everything melted afterwards.

But the dealership said no auto car washes ever for me, so I'm not taking the chance.

Check that, I feel bad for me and my car, to continually experience such a thing

Ya but I wanted a sunroof :D No more problems with it, I just don't want to create anymore. Plus I hate spending the money to wash it and then it snows the following day. You can never trust our winters here. I'm going to wait another month or so before giving it a really good wash again. I have to drive it and leave it parked in BUffalo in a few weeks anyways. I figured I might as well wait until I get back to wash it.

So I wasn't going to wash her today, but the sun was shining and it feels like spring. I was only going to clean the interior but then after I saw how nice it was I had to wash her.

Pic w/ her hood open ...

Tucked away for the rest of the day ...

You're so lucky!... Down here I have to wash it once or twice per month. Basically we have 2 seasons, winter (rain, rain, and more rain), and summer (lots of sun)... When it's raining, the car gets all dirty with mud, and when it's just sun, the car gets full with dust everywhere, so my silver car actually turns beige...

But I don't allow anyone to wash my car, that's my job so it can be as clean as I want it to be...

Then I guess there is another red Versa with some pink stuff in the interior driven by a female (that was doing something on her mp3 player/cell phone while driving). =)

Really? When was this? What highway again? I never talk or text on my cell while driving. I will talk on it through the bluetooth, but I never hold my phone while driving. No need to w/ bluetooth.I do have my ipod affixed to my vents though ... Was it my car? Tinted windows? Rims?

I didn't really pay that much attention to notice which rims/tints it had. Didn't even think it was someone from the forum, but then I saw this thread and your car looks very close to the one I saw.Was on 400 southbound near Finch. I think it was during the week of Feb 14, can't remember exactly.
