greetings friends.. posted this about a month ago without much luck..'02 Q ... turn on cruise button and the ICC comes automatically on.. and cannot disengage it.. I just want to run cruise the old fashioned way... one opinion told me to hold button till resets, however this did not work.. took it to dealership.. shop foreman could "NOT" tell me what is wrong (Kearny Mesa Infiniti, San Diego)..asked me to get back w/ service writer,, oops missed that appt.. will do however.. wandering if anyone knows if this is indeed a prob or an operator error..Thanks ..Haggis

I did not think that 02's have ICC.

02 does indeed have ICC.. dont know if this was an option as I bought the car used, however I just got back from the dealer (KMI.. San Diego).. and after going through the service writer and the shop foreman.. they now tell me that I cannot turn off the ICC to just run regular CC.. I could have sworn that when I first got the car.. I had the option of running the car on ICC or reg CC.... as I had just got it .. i didnt pay much attention to that as I thought it was normal to be able to use ICC up and beyone reg CC..Doesn't make much sense to only be able to run Cruise in that limited way... is the dealer feeding me BS? just to get rid of me?They also told me I had the Accelerator update done on the car, however it sure does NOT shift from 1 thru 5th gears as the update bulletin suggests...Thanks again.Dave

try opening the exhaust valve on the rear. It wil not get you any codes but more grunt and better mpg. There is an accutator on the rear by the muffler. Get a wire hanger and flip it wide open.
