Post yet IC piping pics. Tryin to get an idea of what i'm in for. I did a 4g prelude, and I dont know if anything could be worse than that (except it didnt have a MAF). Also if you would, lemme know what diameter you guys are running. I'll be building mine from JC Whitney mandrel bends and im gonna start out with a starion intercooler i got until i upgrade my fuel for more boost, then i'll get somethin bigger. Any pics appreciated.

Dont go half-assed now, plan for the future and get something that will support the goals you have with the car. Ill post a pic of my IC piping and setup tomorrow before I put my bumper back on.

I'm not sure if it's good or if anyone has tried it but i did see something very interesting the other day. RS Akimoto makes stainless flexible pipe in 3" diameter that can be bent any way you want and it will hold it's shape. Might make plumbing an IC a little easier. :)

I knew a girl like that once... haha jk

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into that.

95_240sx - I hear you loud and clear, I really do. Ive done an NA to turbo project before, but im a glutton for punishment. Ive got a backup car and dont care that much if i kill this motor, though I'd prefer not to. Im addicted to boost and need my 240 boosted yesterday.

Due to some unforseen financial burdens, Im gonna start out with a good mani (prolly rev-hard), my upgraded t3/t4 and an FMU, and my starion IC. Down the road, i'll upgrade to a big IC, standalone, injectors and pistons/rods. Im gonna keep it at about 6psi until then

PDM has some flexible intercooler piping, it looks pretty good.

For me though I am going with regular metal, the price is ALOT better and it isn't much harder to fabricate. All you have to do is use those silicon connectors to hold everything together.

Oh yeah, and 3" is way too big for intercooler piping. I'd say 2 1/2" max. I am going 2 1/4" for the hotpipe and 2 1/2" for the intercooler to throttle body pipe.

He has an S13, not an S14. How does the routing compare between them?

Oh, Im not sure, should be similar at most, although my intercooler to throttle body pipe doesnt line up for squat, might have been because the IC is set further back than others.

ahhh...so it's a guess and check kind of thing, you only need the basic path it will follow.

thanks for teh pics so far. Lots of help. Id like to see where you turbo guys are putting the MAF and BOV also. If i get time this week, I'll go ahead and pull my bumper and run the IC pipes into the engine bay.
