Easier to look for the lane camera. It will be right above the rearview mirror under a plastic cover, with a lens that looks out the windshield. If you don't have anything up there then you don't have tech.DaInfinitiguy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 8:33 am@emm3seven, I will have to investigate to provide a concrete answer because I am not certain.
Question is will I have to uninstall the bumper to know for sure if it has the rangefinder?
However, is it far fetch to consider firmware update? is it even worth it?

Thank u !C6Joe1957 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 8:51 amYou might be able to find the options on your M by getting an original window sticker, assuming that you do not have one.
Go here: https://monroneylabels.com/ and for $7.50 you'll get a printable window sticker of your car as equipped and sold originally according to your VIN. It would also include any dealer installed options like Aero Kit, LoJack etc.
They are nice to have and worth the cost. Hopefully it may shed some light on your cars equipment.
I can't tell from the pic whether that's a cam or a rain sensor. If your wiper stalk has an "auto" position then it's a rain sensor. If not then it has to be a cam.DaInfinitiguy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 9:25 amFound a lens above the rear view mirror looking out. Does this indicate its tech equipped?
It might be the rain sensor then cos the wiper is equipped with an auto option.VStar650CL wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 9:41 amI can't tell from the pic whether that's a cam or a rain sensor. Not sure that's 100% accurate - I have a rain sensor, wiper stalk with an "auto" position, and tech package with the camera. It looks exactly like the pic posted.VStar650CL wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 9:41 amI can't tell from the pic whether that's a cam or a rain sensor. Picture's worth a thousand words, thank you. That's odd, I only see one lens in the OP's windshield pic and most of the cams have a wedge-shaped cutout. But I'm a Nissan guy, it wouldn't be the first time Infiniti confused or fooled me!emm3seven wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 10:29 amHere are two other telltale tech package signs to check to be 100% certain (apologies for poor pics and nasty car):
Check driver side front bumper for something that looks like this (it's huge and hard to miss, probably 2x8 inches or so):
Check right side of steering wheel for extra lower cluster of buttons, in particular the big button at the bottom that looks like a car inside two circles:
If you do have the tech package, and your cluster isn't properly displaying various features of the tech package, let's talk - I spent 3 months troubleshooting that problem on my M37x and ultimately fixed it but it's a pretty long story.
Didn’t find the indicators you pointed out.emm3seven wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 10:29 amNot sure that's 100% accurate - I have a rain sensor, wiper stalk with an "auto" position, and tech package with the camera. It looks exactly like the pic posted.VStar650CL wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 9:41 am
