Has anyone installed the Timing Advance Resistor ( 10 ohm ) at the IAT Sensor? Did you get more power? Where is it located on a 2002 Q45? Across which terminals do I put the resistor? Sorry about so many questions, I am new to the Q45 crowd.

Fooling ecu usually doen't result in significant power gains. Snake oil salesmen abound in the aftermarket industry and are clustered on ebay

It's possible to "tweak" the system by modifying sensors. The trouble with the newer vehicle is that the computers are pretty smart. It doesn't only take into account one sensor to adjust the parameters like fuel ratios, timing etc. If you try and change one sensor by very much it will just ignore that sensor and revert to another as it will see there is a discrepancy.

There are many tricks and simple mods and circuits you can do and I've tried a few. My experiments have been attempts to increase MPG primarily. The IAT mod alone won't really do much, if anything and on a newer vehicle like your '02 model, you are very likely to get a check engine light when the ECU figures out you are messing with things.

There are many "snake oil" salesmen out there, particularly on e-bay, peddling resistors concealed in heatshrink and other enclosures, for huge profits. Don't buy it!
