Its nice to have one on teh hotpipe and before the TB for comparison sake...however the TB one is prolly most important as thats pretty close to what the motor will be ingesting.

I beleive by IAT you mean intake air temp sensor...

It doesnt make sense to me to run the IAT before the turbo and intercooler, because the air temp will be changed dramatically. However, from the factory, the IAT is installed before the MAF. so I dont know what efects there will be having it after the maf.

any more input is appreciated. thanks

The IAT is a thermistor, which changes its resistance, w/ change of temperature. so I'm starting to ponder, running a fixed resistor in place of it for tuning reasons. I need to know, how warmer or cooler air affects injector pulses. ( I'll ask my instructor mon. ) ( UTI )

any input on this?

I suppose plumbing itafter the IC would give the ECU a better temp to work with. I hadn't thought to much on this until now. I'll probably be moving mine as well.

No, you want the IAT to get cooler charge air readings.

If you have any GM, then you should know all about the IAT "free mod". On most modern GM vehicles, the IAT is placed in the intake manifold, but for a "free mod", people run them where cooler air is drawn in, like the intake tract. This is on a system that relies on the MAP sensor though.I don't know for sure how it responds in a MAF system.

Nope we ain't got it. I'm sure all S14s have it (or at least ODBIIs), not sure if the Cali S13s do.
