which parts are you having trouble figuring out? ..maybe look at some other peoples setups to see where they put things.

ive got most of it figured out, and do not plan on installing it till summer since I still need fuel management and injectors. (Got the stage 1) I just need a few reads so I can be very educated before i screw anything up. This car is my only car so I cant really blow it up or something.

I installed the stage 1 kit over winter and its currently running with 5psi. If you need help installing components let me know. I used the greddy turbo kit installation instruction found on their site to help me as it had good pictures and diagrams.

http://www.greddy.com/ - - - the tech section download the manual in pdf format.

for your walbro install follow this: http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10417

if you need any help let me know.

Thanks for the reply, what else do you suggest I save up for before installing the kit?

I want to boost really bad but I think it would be smarter to wait till i get injectors and the computer.

My next concern is the transmission. Should I also install a new clutch (60k on the car so far) or wait till this one dies after going turbo? What other damage is the transmission suspect to? Is there anything I can do to prevent it?

Also do I need to go ahead and get new motor/transmission mounts? I have a feeling I will have to unbolt the engine from the car (to remove oil pan) so new mounts are something I am thinking about saving up for as well.

Only way it will hold is if you let in break in properly.Your going to be putting it close if not over the limit.Make sure you got your 500miles on it before having fun.

not stock. You probably can break it in under boost. But shift clean and smooth. So pretty much no dragging/drifitng. I beat the hell out of my rps tonight. But It holds 400ftlb and I'm only around 270.

If anyone can put together a flideshow or just a bunch of pics around the install I'll type out some directions and link them to the pics. That way we can help each other out instead of not fixing the pre-existing problem.

Has anyone shot an email to IAP and complained about the directions? I can handle that if it has not been done already. I speak shadetree pretty well...lol.

well I know someone (don't remember who it was or if he was on here or ka-t.org) supposedly put together a step by step with pics for a SOHC install and he said he gave it to Marc but never has seen anything come from it. I would have done a step by step but I don't own a digital camera (I know I'm living in a bubble)I've often thought of just putting together a more detailed step by step without the pics myself. just need to take the time is all. but then like they say a picture is worth 1000 words.

It's pretty simple. Bolt wastegate to mani.Bolt turbo to mani. Bolt mani to head.Bolt dp to mani.Bolt dp to your exhaust. Bolt Bov to hotpipe. Connect all pipes with couplers. Fuel pump comes with instructions. Have fun. Only thign I didn't understand was the oil flange which I got welded for safety. And had problems with the oil T line. Which I still do and posting a thread about it in a minute(NOT IAP's fault)

^^^yup that's pretty much the current IAP instructions right there. I would have liked to know which bolts went where, which vacuum lines went where, recommended way to block off EGR, where to T in for the BOV, which fittings go where.... that kind of stuff was not covered which led to hours of searching through threads on forums for answers. I mean maybe its all common sense to most but this was my first turbo project and as part of a complete package and advertised "kit" I guess I was expecting a little more explanation.

All your vaccums need to go to the FPR. Need to go buy a M8x1.25 bolt short as possible. And thread that into your hotpipe to block of the nipple. Make all your vaccums go off your FPR. Only pic I really needed was of the oil T. Because I couldn't get the damn thing to thread into the block. Wd I can take pics of the kit on your request(S13).Also Geoman has some as well(s14)

well guys I have a rough draft I made up in word. I tried to include as many pics as I had in my inventory and even copied some figures out of the FSM but I still need some more pics and of course some review and comment . I basically went through IAP's instruction and just elaborated and changed up the order a touch. I'd post it, but its in word format and its too big. if I cut and paste then I'd have to link all the photos (there's alot of em) and that would take way too long. Is there a way I could email it to one of you and you could tweak it or make it postable?

I posted a review and a bunch of miscellaneous installation pictures of my IAP kit a while back...

http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7577

Contains a 2-3 page review and about 25-35 pics or so of my install.

Good luck.

Got your email Greg, looks like an excellent writeup. I'll be making it into an article and adding to the sticky later on today. Like I said in the email, excellent job my friend. Together as a team of car enthusiats we can help NICO take over the world. By 2009 I want everyone on the planet to know and want a 240sx with NICO stickers all over it
