Well I have IAP Oil Lines but I cant figure out how it goes for the oil return line or what flange to weld to the oil pan. Heres what I have:

Am pretty sure 4 and 5 go to the top of the oil return line but what about the bottom to the oil pan, how does that go? Do I weld 2 onto the oil pan with the tube facing out? How does 1, 3, and 6 fit in??

Here ya go:

#1 See #2.#2 attach to bottom of turbo.#3 weld to pan.#4 holds the hose that goes between #2 and #5.#5 thread into #6.#6 thread into #3.

I could draw a pic, but I think you'll get it it you follow those instructions.

I just got this kit and I'm not impressed. They lost my order or something and didn't ship it for 2 weeks. I just got it in the mail yesterday and it won't work the way you guys have it laid out.

The main problem is the #3 fitting you have pictured is ALUMINUM in my kit, which obviously won't weld to the oil pan. IDK if it will bolt to the turbo, but if it does, then the 45° fitting pictured in #6 is going to point the hose in the wrong direction.

Mine was steel? You put magnet to yours? Also when I did mine I reversed them. Had #2 on my pan and #3 on my turbo.

Yea, I ended up welding #2 to the pan. I had to, #3 was aluminum.

#3 bolted onto the turbo, but I had to modify it a little bit to get the bolts to clear a socket.

#6 still points the wrong way. It should be a straight fitting IMHO.

How is the big drain hose supposed to attach to #2? Just a plain ole' hose clamp?

Yep just a hose clamp holds it on.

For anyone else reading this...if you are just buying the oil return line setup, use the one JGS has. It better and cheaper IIRC.

agreed, JGS one is MUCH more str8 forward. i'm surprised IAP would send an aluminum fitting like that if they know the oil pan is not aluminum.............

That's because the bung isn't intended (in their kit) to be welded to the pan, it's supposed to be attached with nut-serts.

I didn't like that setup at all, so mine's welded, and it was most certainly steel.

Either way, I'd never buy a "kit" for a return line again, I'd just fab my own.

Well I got the feed and drain line, but I guess I expected more. If it's just a hose clamp for the oil pan drain, for the price I paid, I'd expect at least one of those nice AN clamps.

Oh well, it'll work fine I guess.

Did you not see any pics of the product? You'll never see me buying something that doesn't include a picture of the "actual" product.

That's the point, it did, and then when it showed up, it wasn't like what was pictured.

I also just found out tonight that they didn't send me the correct fitting to thread into the turbo.

I am PISSED about this. I spent $170 because I'm in a hurry with this project and I didn't want to have to run around trying to find little parts. Now I've got to come up with some sort of fitting to make this work.

I'll NEVER recommend this kit to anyone!

Well this was a feed and drain kit. You're not building a feed line from Home Depot parts...

Oh yea? Where are you getting the inverted flare fitting that goes into the oil feed for the turbo?

And I'm not a whore, I get paid for what I do. That makes me a professional.

You need no such inverted flare fitting foolio, you just need the tiniest bit of imagination.

You may be a professional, but you are a CHEAP professional

The point you're making is moot. I paid for a kit that should have been complete. I shouldn't have had to drive up to the Red-Neck-Race-Shop to have them order me the parts I need to finish this.

The last thing I need is a bunch of RedNecks with mullets looking at me funny because I've got a Nissan.

Why don't you call them up and ***** them out for giving you the wrong stuff.

I got shipped the wrong thing for my oil send line too, but I think thats because nobody makes a fitting for my turbo to go to an AN line. (Subaru flanged td06 20G). My oil inlet is an M10 1.5 (IIRC) thread pattern. Everything I found was AN or pipe thread or american standard. I ended up making my own bolt, and now its kindof leaking. New plans are in the works.

For the oil return line, I had a kit that threaded through the oil pan and bolted through a nut on the back. Its pretty solid and I haven't had any oil drain problems with the turbo. I think I got it from cheapturbolines.com or something. I think they were a sponsor for NICO way back when too. The line was waay too short, so I ended up pulling a WD and getting some all purpose petro resistant hose from a local speed shop (the dude said its what the porsches run for oil return lines, so I figured it was good enough for me!).

I've tried to contact them. My emails go un-answered and whenever I go to their site, it makes my browser lock up and I have to re-start my computer. If somebody else has better luck with their site, maybe they can get me the phone number?

I wonder what the heck causes their site make my browsers lock up.

I'll call them in the AM and let you guys know what's up.

I never heard back from them after I ended my dispute.

ALSO, I ended up having to do the feed line from scratch and spent another $50 on it. The line they supplied was -3 and nobody locally had a -3 90 fitting, or a -3 to -4 inverted flare fitting.
