so the minds at china have finally come up with a sudo-cheapo alternative to the $500+ front facing plenum solution.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... K:MEWAX:IT

Called up godspeed a few times and talked to ken about this. apparently it will clear a s13 hood. and the plenum is made for the stock rb20 throttle body. if you want to run the q45 you need an adapter plate..

so iam on board. going to pick up one this week.

my question is since iam going to run this

WHAT AND WHERE DO I PUT MY BOV?? i know i should still recirc. But i need pics of the front facing community of your bov setup please... :werd:

You should look at SR and KA-T setups.

this is interesting, i like to see what its goin to look like on install... as far as ur bov, it really depends on how ur piping is goin to be ran cause the intake facing foward on an rb is goin to be at a higher position than an sr or kat but dont think it be that much different..

and RAZI was talking about the setups on the piping on how they run the bovs, he not tellin u to consider changin to a sr or kat..

Correct

Recircing a BOV isn't hard.
You install your BOV on the intercooler pipe, then figure a way to recirculate the air into the intake.

Haha, we all have our off days.

Here is my BOV hose that is going back into my intake.

And my BOV that's behind my bumper.

My recirc hose follows my intercooler pipe up into the engine bay and plugs into my intake.

If you have your stock RB20 intake pipe, I think those already have a spot where the recirc hose goes into.
You just need to figure out where you can put your BOV to make sure the recirc hose doesn't have to make sharp bends to get to that spot on your intake.

I assume you'll need aftermarket intercooler piping to change to a front facing manifold.
Most of them don't come with BOV flanges already attached, this way you can pick a spot you like.

It's not too difficult, it only takes about 10 minutes to figure out what a good spot is, then you just need to get your flange welded on and BOV installed.

kool so you have your setup on the hot side not the intake side. any difference in performance taking this route??

Never driven it with it on the cold pipe, so I don't know.
No issues with it on the hot pipe though.
