so ive never seen a clear cut answer about a replacement for this. ive seen stuff about b13 se-r's but nothing set in stone i dont need the air regulator under the throttle body i need the iacv valve body and solenoid bolted to the intake by #2 injector. might have one at a junkyard? ive been having issues with cold start and random lean cruise, stutter under load. i unplugged the iacv and manually set idle with throttle cable and now it runs a lot better. my guess is tb was getting bypassed by iacv randomly opening and lettting in more air than needed via the iacv behind the throttle plate. hopefully someone knows for sure which cross reference car i can get one from. thanks in advance guys.

Sounds like a bad TPS to me, but I'm pretty sure it's the same as the pulsar.

my tps says .46 volts at idle where it should be and it looks to be going up as i press the throttle. could it still be bad?

so ive checked and replaced tps and cas disconnected my iacv and checked my cold start valve (air reg valve below throttle body). maf voltage is 1.040 at idle as always. fuel pressure is normal on prime before startup i cant monitor while driving. brand new wiring specialties harness. fairly new deatschwerks injectors. nismo fpr. its not belt timing bc after it starts sometimes itll run good sometimes it wont. the problem is that it will start then die start again then die i keep starting and feathering the pedal until eventually it will stay going. ill be driving it and it always runs suuupppperrrr lean like --- on my aem wideband lean 18:1 + under light accel especially when cold. then after warm it will eventually be normal when over 3k rpm and higher load. sometimes it will run fine then al of a sudden itll just start being super lean out of nowhere again. its got me stumped.

honestly it sounds like exactly how my car runs. I never could figure out how to get a perfect cold start. I just deal with it. What kind of MAF are you running? I've changed the TPS, O2 sensor, air regulator, AAC valve and assembly, and CTS. I'm thinking the issue lies in a possible dirty MAF myself..

Also, the correct TPS for the CA18 is actually the TPS off a 1989-1990 KA24E. The part number supersedes. the pulsar one I had would not set to OEM resistance specs.

It's not the motor, it's the stock control system. My SDS controlled CA starts just fine in the cold, and that's even on E85! (alcohol is much harder to start in the cold than gasoline)

yes the ECCS is a very picky system to deal with. I've just become accustomed to dealing with the cold start issue.

I've never thought having 3 idle control valves was a great idea on Nissan's part, LOL
