Ever since it started to get chilly outside I've been having problems with a fast idle. Once the car is warmed up it's been idling around 1500rpm. Once I start driving it, it will sit around 12-1300rpm at a stop. Today I checked some things out and after turning the adjustment screw on the iacv all the way in, it idles around 1000-1100. If I turn on my lights and my heater fan it'll drop down to about 850. I'm pretty sure I checked all the appropriate sensors. maf, o2, iacv, tps- they all read right where they should. When I've got the car warmed up and I unhook the iacv plug the idle drops down to a smooth 750. Does it sound like my iacv is shot or am I forgetting something? Oh yeah- the timing is dead on and as far as I know I've got no leaks. Thanks in advance

Also check for a vac leak. Does your boost gauge read vac and boost?

My car started to idle alittle higher Once the weather started to get real cold..But mine only went up 50 rpm or so..Fu%ked with my timing!!! But your problem sounds like it might be with the TPS.Check that.

i've checked my tps with my mulitmeter and my safcII. everything looks ok with that. my idle also reacts accordingly when it is unplugged.

yeah, its probably a gunked up AAC...more specifically the IAC thats on the AAC...my car has that problem, but i have abs, so its a bit of a chore to get to the back of the intake manifold...i did have a hesitation problem, and it went away when i changed my o2 sensor...
