I have a 96 S14 with about 80k on it.

Just got the 0205 engine code which is the IACV AAC problem... I know 240s are infamous with those IACV but can somebody shine a light on how I can replace this damn thing. I heard its such a pain in the a$$

SR or KA I think either way you're gonna have to pull the intake manifold off. I'm not too sure about the DOHC KA's but the SR's you will have to pull the intake manifold (runners and collector) to get the IACV AAC out.

Did you get it out? You dont have to take the manifold off. I took all the hoses around it off. Then took the EGR valve off. Made it a heck of a lot easier to get to. There are 4 10mm bolts holding it in then a big vacumm hose. After thats all disconnected and both electrical connectors off(purple and brown) wiggle it out. I sprayed some carb cleaner in it all(holding the AAC valve up so none got in it just to be on the safe side). Alot of brown **** came out. Right now just waiting for everything to dry then gonna put it all back together and see if it solved my prob. Got any questions ask. Oh when you get it off take the IACV off and tell me how the plunger faced. Dont loose the spring inside though!!

Ok got it off, cleaned the crap outta it, still not fixed. So that means:Cleaned IACV&AAC, Cleaned MAF, Check all grounds and cleaned, new EGR, new EGR temp sensor, checked for vacumm leaks but still have the problem. WTF is it

If you have the check engine light on,

I had sort of the same problem, EVAP, Purge, O2 Sensor IAAVC or whatever, and some other things were off line and the car would not idle, the check engine light would come on even after reset, I grabbed a multimeter and the wiring diagram, mine's a 96, and found out that all of these sensors were under the same circuit and that a positive wire was grounding, so i pulled the engine harness out and re insulated it and that fixed the problem.

If you don't have the check engine light on

If u haven't yet look into your sparkplug wires, it sounds a lot like that could be the problem, if cracked they might be grounding, or check your distribuitor cap and rotor...and either one of these problems would trip the ecu as far as codes!!!
