is the aac a component of the iacv, along with the ficd, or are they totally separate systems? I ask because when I was troubleshooting wit Datascan, there is an option to change the value of the IACV, and also the value of the aac. when I change the value of the aac, the idle speed changes, but when I change the value of the iacv, nothing. I was thinking that is a test for a different vehicle since datascan will work with many vehicles. either that or I have a problem. S1 Rb25det btw

in order for you to change the value of the IAC valve it has to be done manually...(adjustment screw on the valve itself) what it is is aplastic needle valve that sits on a seat controlling vaccum...why would you need to adjust it?

Sorry I should clarify. I am having some missing issues under full boost at high revs. I was checking the values of all my sensors thru datascan, and noticed nothing happened whenn I chaned the value for the IACV. just concerned that was a problem. I cant find much on it. what I am getting from the info I am finding is that the ficd and the aac make up the iacv. or do people use iacv and aac interchangeably?
