hey guys i don't know whats going on, i was testing some catch can setups, and i forgot to hook up my IAC Valve for a couple of seconds, it started up and stalled due to pulling in unmetered air, then i put everything back the way it was and now it won't start.

I'm definetly getting fuel i can smell it, what are some things I can start checking?

i just checked my plugs, they were a little wet so i cleaned them with brake clean and sandpaper, still have the same problem.

Can a busted IAC prevent a car from starting?

No other leaks, everything is tight, all hoses are new too

my theory is that when there was no fuel pressure the a/f was able to lean out enought to start, then obviously die when fuel in the cylinders ran out

when the fuel pump is going normally, and the iac is closed, theres not enough air to keep the a/f right

Dumb question: Are you sure the IAC is plugged in tightly? The plug on mine is difficult to push in.

Stop what your doing and perform ecu reset. You caused a fault code unplugging the iacv. Try that then continue to diagnose

no fault code for the iacv...plenty of cars out there running without them.

sorry i didn't get back to you guys earlier, so i fixed it.

I was super flooded out with a combination of fouled plugs, prevented me from starting. Set of new plugs and let things dry down, started right up.

On another note, don't buy TFL injectors, they are complete s***, or Venom or whatever other drilled injectors are out there. Going with all new top feed system with the injector dynamics ID1000s. The guy i bought the car from put the TFLs in, and also contributed to the flooding.
