I've got a question related to this....

I'm installing my standalone...or trying. There are four IAC wires, but only 2 on the Nissan IAC. However, there is the IAC Valve and an IAC Valve regulator. Together there are 4 wires....the wiring diagram reads A "Hi", A "Lo, B "Hi", B "Lo"...any ideas? You think I should try to hook up the B Hi and Lo to the IAC Valve Regulator? Not a big deal since I'm going to use bullet connectors, and I know the IAC is not necessary for the engine to run, but it would be nice to be able to control the idle.

Have them look up an 89 240SX and see what it uses. Usually, auto parts places list part numbers for parts on the years before and after the year you ask for, when there is a change in parts.

For instance, if you ask for a '90 part, they will probably have part numbers for KA24E and KA24DE listed. But if you ask for a part for an '89, they will probably have the VG20E and KA24E listed. So figure out which one was used on both the 89 and 90, they should be the same.

no, same thing for the 89. i took the part off and cleaned it up but still idles like crap, and not one name written on it anywhere. im considering driving into a tree and getting some insurance money LOL. i ordered one and if its wrong ill just take it back and ask for the other one. but it takes two days each time so hopefully i get the right one first.

Write down your vin #, call the dealer, get the part#, call the store and have them pull the part, then when you go in compare the parts, if its not the same pull the other one. It should be the same. I used to work for pepboys, in the parts counter...I had trouble all the time...I did this many times from the counter for customers. Good luck.

pumping gas two cars of hicks pull up a berreta and a really jacked up ford yelling like a bunch of idiots and just being dumb trying to show off but they just look stupid. i start my cr give it a few little revs (to like 3k) and then pull out to the highway and do a perfect drift across the three lanes and contiune to burn em till about 40 mph. felt good.
