hey guys... wondering if I could get some help or advice. Well recently bought an 02 infiniti i35 and I have a check engine light on. The code I think is p0744 (torque convertor)... my question is which is the best way to get rid of this code? Is the torque convertor only the round piece of metal or does it also works with any type of sensor? is it easier to just change the torque convertor or just the whole transmission? please guys help me...

Welcome to NICO!

Try a trans fluid/filter change. If that doesn't work, you will need another transmission.

I believe that code is specific to the torque converter lockup clutch solenoid. The solenoid actuates the clutch lockup.

The torque converter is related to a few sensors and actuators, including that solenoid.
