I35 Subwoofer

Hello Everyone,My subwoofer in my '02 I35 is driving me up the walls. it plays whenever it feels like it.Does anyone have a "USED" but good woofer for and I35??Or any other suggestions that doesnt require much mods??Please advice.

I gotta go this route since I do not want to spend money on the car, I'm not planning on keeping it for a long time.Wanna get the M35 next

I would be inclined to think that there's an issue with your amp, not the sub. There is a member on here that rebuilds the amps. May be an option to look at.

there are times I give the Sub a good hit and it starts playing...then it gives out again

Have you checked the wire connections to the speaker? Take a look and make sure the wire leads are on tight to the speaker prongs.

If it is your speaker, I have one that I'd sell out of my car. It's the stock speaker.. make me an offer.

typically a speaker that comes in and out at random times simply has loose connections. See if you can find the wiring leads to the speaker and just make sure they are on tight.

Best Buy? My God NO! A car audio shop would probably be your best bet if your not comfortable doing it yourself. Tell them that it's a common problem with this system to have bad/cold solder joints on the subwoofer crossover board.

My friend has a 2000 Maxima GLE with the same problem. When we messed with the board you described it would go in and out. Anyone have one they're willing to sell? If you've put in an aftermarket sub this is useless to you. please let me know.
