I35 Navigation system loses location calibration

Everytime I shut off my car, the navigation system doenst retian its setting on the map as to whre it is located. Any idea how/why this is happening?

Probably has to establish GPS satellite link for location.

How else would it know where it is located if it were towed somewhere?

no

it has connectivetyi to GPS, but in rwlation to the map its like in the middle of PA versus NJ Turnpike where I am driving. IT will move and follow along the path but the map is not corellated propely. I have to change the setting and re-calibrate it every single time I use it.
