I've been looking for navigation parts (specifically, the pop-up screen and dash parts). Anyone know where I might find one or who has an extra they'd like to sell?

I had a carputer in my old Lexus that I'd like to put to good use in the infiniti, but for the screen when it was in the Lexus, I had a headunit that was only a touch screen - no cd changer, no buttons, nothing - just a double-din touch screen. It was cool, but I want to keep my Bose unit in my Infiniti, so my only other option is the OEM pop-up screen.

Ebay is fresh out of I35 nav parts (with the exception of an 03 nav headunit for $275 if anyone was looking)...

Any ideas? I'd really like that pop-up screen.

Keep an eye on your year I35 parts (engines / body parts) showing up on http://www.car-parts.com. That way you'll have a good idea of yards that may have the parts your looking for.

Have you tried calling one of our dealer sponsors to see what it would cost?

Checked out that site today - they've got screens posted for $400-$450. I called a yard in New York and made a deal - $300 with shipping

The dealer I called 1st informed me that I could buy a brand new one from them "at a steal" for $3500 (which included only the screen - no pop-up motors, no dash parts, no wires, just the screen). I paid $3000 for my 1st car and it was a Lexus.

What I want to know is why dealers think its ok to rape their customers. Before the guy at the dealer told me the price, he should have told me to bend over.

Who actually believes these electronics cost that much???

It's like paying over $100 for a cell phone. "It retails for over $500..."

Where does it retail for that much? Who is willing to get raped on an electronic that probably cost less than $20 to produce?

This sounds just like the dealership telling me they wanted a couple grand for a new BOSE head unit.

Would you believe that Bose speakers are actually made of cardboard?

They sound awesome at first use, but after a while they begin to sound no different than any other speaker. Fortunately for us, the Bose speakers in our cars are not true Bose speakers - meaning they're actually better than Bose. The headunit only says Bose because they use Bose technology in it - its also not made by Bose.

Im not sure who makes them, but its not Bose.

Thanks to Max, I found a screen - only problem is that it doesnt come with any of the surrounding dash pieces.

Anyone have a part numbers or have the extra dash parts they'd like to sell?

Bump!

Im still looking for a navigation screen if anyone has one they'd sell, or has seen one online somewhere for cheap...

(Also, I was wondering if the stock screen is a touch screen... is it?)

Bump.

Is the stock navigation screen a touch screen? Or are the only controls in the dash above the stereo?
