i35 exhaust pipe broke

I have an 02 i35 with 56k miles and the gd exhaust pipe broke just behind the muffler. Is this typical for this car? I've owned many cars with 2x the miles that never needed exhaust work...

Oh well, anyone have suggestions on replacements (cheap but high quality)?

This happened on my I30 as well, due to corrosion from salt, ect. from living in an environment with snow. I used one of those Pipe clamps you can get at home depot to reconnect the exhaust. Was about a 4 dollar fix. However you should look into what caused it, My hanger had rusted out which caused the exhaust to break. Because I didn't address that then, I'm pretty sure my Y-Pipe's broken now too.

same problem with my father's 02 maxima with 60k. if an exhaust clamp will not fix it spend $50 bucks at a muffler shop to reconnect the pipe.
