I35 Bose head unit mp3? Work in I30?

Sorry if this has been asked over and over, but my wife has an '00 I30t with Bose and wondering if we could simply swap out the head unit for that of the I35 Bose? If so, will any of the I35 headunits play mp3 format cds?

I don't believe that they will play MP3 unless they specifically say that they will. As far as head units fitting, I don't think that they will as the I35 had a different dash than the I30.
