I have 2002 I35 with 102K miles. There is an excessive noise coming ou from the glove compartment and I am guessing that it is related to blower motor. If I turn off the AC/Heat there is no noise. I opened the motir assembly and could not find any dirt. May be it is time to replace the motor. Can you please let me know where to buy ans how easy it is to replace the blower motor?

You should be able to find directions on how to replace your blower motor here. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/maxima/2003/ha.pdf.

You can get OEM prices for wholesale at one of NICO's dealer sponsors. http://www.nicoclub.com/subpages/addirectory.shtml

I am new to the site and am really glad to find the level of info that I have read so far. I recently bought a used 2004 I35 with 58k miles and it is like new except the fan motor started making a loud noise and I think it is going to have to be replaced. I plan to change the cabin filter at the same time but was wondering about the motor changeout. I read that the AC system would have to be evacuated to make the changeout. I was wondering if this was the case if I am only changing out the motor and not the entire cooling assembly. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You won't have to do anything with the A/C system in order to change out the blower motor. It doesn't do any of the cooling, it only does the circulation.
