Has anyone ever removed the differential from an i30 transmission?

I just wanted to figure out if it's worth it to pull the differential before I get rid of the transmission.

If it's an automatic, I probably wouldn't bother. If it's a 5spd, you might be able to sell the old trans as a core (worth a shot at least).
