So my 2000 infiniti I30 went for a swim in september. I've replaced the starter on it, and waited for it to completely dry up. Well, turns out the ECU was fried, so that was replaced yesterday. The key was reprogrammed and the car turned over, as before. Fuel is getting to the rails because it will spray out when the fuel pump primes. The engine will pop as if it's trying to start, but it does not have enough fuel to sustain combustion. With ether, it will run for a couple seconds. At the moment, the primary serpentine is not connected because I broke the tensioner, however that should have no effect on the engine running.

After a few minutes of cranking, we decided to go pull the codes on it. It came up with a P180, and a P464 (180 = fuel temp sensor circuit malfunction, 464 = fuel level sensor signal erratic). We replaced the camshaft sensor, due to there being plenty of fuel, and plenty of spark, but no fuel entering the combustion chamber (or so it seems). The battery finally took a dump after multiple charging and discharging events so it needs to be replaced tomorrow. Unfortunately we did not get to test it with the new camshaft sensor.

My question is, would either of those two codes have any effect on this? Also, what do you guys believe the issue is? My guess was obviously camshaft sensor, but maybe one of you have had this issue previously?

I would do a fuel pressure test to see how things are flowing.

Haha lets just say, the puddle was deeper than it looked. I checked fuel pressure, and it's perfectly fine. 13V at the fuel pump as well (when being jumped). I bought a new battery charger which has a 75amp quick start, this just cause the car to freak out haha. Any idea with the codes?

Not getting a crank signal code. After replacing the cam sensor, the two codes (180 and 464) stopped showing. I think I have narrowed it down to the injectors, so I will probably have to pull the plenum off and fuel rails and check the injectors. I checked the resistance of the front three, and they all show 13.3ohms, which in my past experience seems acceptable for injectors. I can't check the rears however, as they're under the plenum.
