I'm looking at buying a 96 I30t 5 speed. I currently have a 96 I30 auto.

Are there any significant difference in the springs and struts that would give me a problem in swapping between cars?

I read that the T's suspension was different, but I never figured out how.

I'm going to swap out my springs/struts with the T and sell my baby. She's listed in the classifieds if anyone is interested. Would be a good car for restoration or parts. Still drives great, but I want to try something new out.

Also, is there anything specific I should look for in a 5 spd? I'm pretty familiar with the non-T auto, but not so much with the T 5 spd. I assume they are pretty similar.

You shouldn't have any issue swapping the suspension.

There really aren't any problems with the 5speed trans. You should be good to go.
