Depends on where you want to go with it. A set of wheels and tires is always a good upgrade, maybe a suspension upgrade. If you're looking for engine performance you could get a Cefiro MEVI variable intake.

I echo Matt's sentiments.

Suspension and wheels and tires are always good options.I would also look into upgrading the exhaust and intake. What to do there depends on how far you want to go and what you want out of the car.

Like the other two guys said, there are different ways to go. I think suspension and handling are the "cheaper" upgrades, while power upgrades are more expensive and I don't even count aesthetic upgrades.

If you want to go in the direction of suspension, I could go on and on about the options but I'll keep it simple and tell you that the first upgrade you should get is a RSB (rear sway-bar) It makes a world of difference and it lets you add about 10-15mph to your turns.

If you want to go for power...well, I can't really help you there. I guess the MVI like he said above or even a CAI would make a difference, but as how to get started, I'm sure another member could better help you in that regard.

As the others have said, not knowing your budget, the upgrades can vary from a $50 K&N filter to a $5000 engine makeover (that's a rough estimate, others here can probably go through their receipts and give an idea).

I've been doing things step by step.

Exhaust upgrade - when the old muffler sprung a hole, I decided on stainless steel over the stock mild-steel replacement of the whole exhaust with the exception of a set of extractors. The shop dyno calculated a 10% gain.

To stop the car, I just upgraded the brakes. Suspension is next.

Incidentally, I'm seeing some extractors for sale on Ebay for the 3.0L engine and was wondering if there's any difference between US-spec (left-hand-drive) and the Aussie/Jap (right-hand-drive) engines?

BTW, My ride got rear-ended this time last year in a 4-car pileup (yeah, idiot probation driver was dreaming and decided to test his front bumper strength - I got a new rear bumper and trunk lid out of this, repairs were first class)
