I am new to this site, so please bare with me. I have a 1998 i30 with a CEL on, and I have pulled the codes. I keep geting a EGR temp sensor code. could some one hep me. I do not know where it is located or if it is difficult to change. please help.

is the green spot the sensor? someone please help. I've been told that this sensor is on california models only. anyone heard of this?

The green highlighted part number is the EGR Valve itself. My guess is that the sensor is the 14730 part above the green... It says "(2)" under it though, so that may be the O2 Sensors.

Do you have the FSM (Factory service manual)? If not I would download it at http://www.infiniti-techinfo.com using the $20 one day viewing subscription. You can save it section by section as a .pdf file. Very useful in diagnosing and finding parts.

Keep in mind that a code does not necessarilary mean that the sensor is bad. It may mean that the EGR tube or port into the plenum is plugged. That's why it's important to test everything vs. just buying parts and bolting them on.

Thanks much for the advice, and info. I'll check for cloged lines first and go from there. when reading other posts I had seen where others have said that cloged lines would affect the codes for this and other codes coming up as well. thanks again for the advice.
