I bought an i30 blindly 3 days ago for way to little, Drove it 45 miles, got only have a tank outta that, the next day it started stalling while driving, not starting, starting only when cold then running til hot, ect. all sorts of stupid issues, i checked here many suggestions pointed to the Crankshaft position sensor, it wasnt that, i had fuel i had spark i had everything i needed to make a car run, i thought. then i started taking apart things, this is when i discovered the EGR tube on the back of the engine was so gummed up, i had to used dental picks to get the crap out, i cleaned the top hole cause it was so clogged, Still no start.... finally 2 hours later i tried starting it, it came to life slowly and poorly but it came to life, i gave it some throttle and could here the crap in the tube get blown out. its ran fine and strong so far, im going to replace the entire EGR system but til payday i think i got it solved. If anyone has this issue and cannot solve it check the EGR tube, but also check the inside of the intake manifold where the IACV comes off, theres a little recess in there that gets very very clogged as well and that could cause all sorts of intermittent issues.

Don't forget to clean out where the tube connects to the plenum
You can make sure the EGR valve works a vacuum pump too
I ended hose clamping the EGR-BPT valve hoses to ensure no air getting in
Wish I had used a coathager wire and cleaned out the intake manifold and other tube to the exhaust manifold

UPDATE!!!!. SO it ran fine that whole day, the next day stalled like balls, today i took the TPS sensor plugs out and just kept reconnecting it to try n loosen up and debris, i started it right up no problem, i then unplugged the sensor and started it, and it was doing what the car does when it stalls... then i plugged it back in and drove aprox 50 miles today and no further issues, I did order a sensor as it might be going bad, i couldnt get the screws off to clean it out so i hit them with PB and ill go back out in a few hours and do it again.. there really on there, leading me to believe its a factory part still, and its 120k miles so it should be changed....If anyone has had this issue and can confirm the sensor that would be awesome, i volt metered it its fine, its so intermittent its bizzare...
