i30 Solenoid Valve

Hi, I have a '96 i30 with 120k mi that is in great shape, but the check engine light recently came on and my car is registering error codes related to Solenoid Valves, specifically:

EGRC Solenoid Valve

MAP/BARO Switch Solenoid Valve

My understanding is that these valves are often linked to the transmission.

Is this a repair that can be handled by my local trusted mechanic or is a dealer the best place to resolve this issue? How difficult a repair is it to replace the valves or resolve this by other means.

Neither of those valves have anything to do with the transmission. A trusted mechanic should be able to handle the replacement.
