I30 Red Light On Dashboard

The car is a 2001 I30. This is not the light that says security. The security light works as it should. This red light is to the left of the remote mirror controls, at the end of the dashboard, near the door. It is always on and it is not labled or referred to in the owner's manual.Once again Thank You!!

Have you determined if the light is for the heated mirrors? You have me curious now.

I do not know?? How would I shut off the heated mirrors? How could I tell if my car has heated mirrors?

I do not see anything about this light in my owner's manual. The previous owner said that she always thought it was part of the security system?? There is another light that is labled security system.

Honestly, I dunno. The only other "red light" I could find referenced was this one (altho it is probably in the center console):

it may be a bit overkill, and matt's way might be easier, but i couldnt ever figure it out. so what i do when i post pics is download them via "imagedump" and copy/paste the appropiate forum code. and vwa-la!! a nice picture in your post!!

Seems pretty easy
