Hi. I have a 2001 I30.

The lights for the on-economy-off, and the front & rear defroster are out. These controls are located in the center of the dashboard, the climate control area. It is probably one bulb, as they are all in the same area.

The bulb for one of the heated seat switches is also out. The seat does heat up, but the light does not work.

Thanks for your assistance.

If everything works, then you can simply take it all out and apart to replace the bulbs. "Simple" may not be the appropriate word tho. If you don't want to tackle replacing bulbs, you can check ebay or a local recycler for replacement parts.

I'm assuming it is similar to the Maxima, so it would be the same as removing the stereo. I have stereo removal information here:

http://www.moodym.com/maxima/audio/remove-HU.html

Once done, you should be able to remove the screws holding in the climate control. Once out, you should be able to open it and see what bulbs you need.

Why do they make it sooo difficult? I do not know if it is worth all that effort. I might scratch or break a plastic part. Then I will be sorry I started. It is easier to just remember where the switches are.

Thanks for the info!!
