This is regarding my 1998 I30t. On the sunroof, a small support piece (possibly one of the shims?) broke when a bike fell on the it from the rafters in my garage. Amazingly, it landed squarely on the sunroof and didn't damage any other part of the roof.

The sunroof operates fine in all modes, but it will not pop up into placeon the right side. I've had a cassette case jammed between the sunroofand track that keeps it in place. I found a short metal connector piecein the right side track area that is broken and seems to be causing theproblem. I'm not exactly sure what the part is called, but it basicallycocks the sunroof into place when closed. I hope that's enough to go on.

So, I've removed the headliner(fun!) to gain access to the sunroof, butI'm not exactly sure how to proceed or which part(s) to order to fix it.I could use some instructions for removing/reinstalling the sunroofassembly, and a detailed assembly diagram.

Thanks,

Bob

I had a similar problem on my 3rd genI ended up taking out the track that the sunroof goes up and down on because that is what broke and replacing it on both sides

Sorry for the delay, but here's a breakdown of the sunroof parts.

Scott, this is perfect! It looks like I broke the link and wire assembly, or rear guide on the passenger side. Great diagram, thank you.
