I30 96 whats is the eng cont fuse#17

what does the the eng cont fuse control. it is fuse number 17. and every time it blows out my car cuts off. it is a 10 amp fuse.

Normally a fuse size is selected that is more than double the normal current. Fuses that feed motors [fans, windshield wiper, windows, etc] will be 3 times average current.

Intermittent short in wiring as each ecu driver [for coils, injectors are self protecting against shorts------they blow open].

Had something similar on a G20 took 2 days of almost continuous effort to find a short.
