Hey guys, I really like angel eyes headlights, and i found the umnitza how to for the max. Unfortunately the I30 headlights are completely different! After looking for two hours online I found a dude on cardomain that had some tho on his I30 and it looked like a vehicle specific kit. I'll post some pictures and maybe you guys can help me identify what he did. I think it looks pretty SICK! perhaps anyone knows other cars with similar headlights of which the kit could be used

I'm just as interested to know where these came from. They look awesome!

(My only thought is that they may block a small part of the headlight beams. Usually something this miniscule wouldn't effect light output, but with HIDs, they might chop up the light patern a little because HIDs are very "direct" for lack of a better word.)

you can buy the actual head lights off ebay for about 150 shipped, i picked some up last year. only problem is the projector that comes with the new lights have a horrible cuttoff that is hard to adjust and the lights need to be re-sealed. other than that they turn heads everywhere I GO.

yeah i just bought a pair. can you adjust the cutoff at all? and is the sealant just horrible or why does it need to be re-sealed? I'm thinking about crackin em open and replacing the LED angel eye rings on there with some CCFL one's from http://www.retro-solutions.com should look SICK

i think they are just poorly sealed, i noticed moisture in the left headlight within a couple weeks, and now it is becoming an issue. you can adjust the cutoff as far as up and down there is a screw on the top of each light. there is another screw down towards the bottom of the head light ( you gotta look for it) i adjusted it but really coudlnt see what it was doing. my biggest problem is that the cutoff looks horrible and the light seems to just go stright up into the sky even when i adjusted to point very low.

I cleared my corners and had the same condensation problem. Solution: Drill a series of small holes on the bottom of the lense all the way from end to end (approx 5-8 small holes). This keeps moisture out and your lights clear as day.

HINT: The oven is your friend - heat the whole headlight unit (with the exception of the bulbs) to loosen the seal. Use your own discression when heating though - too much heat could melt the plastic. Also, put it on a cooking tray because the racks get hot and can melt lines into the headlight even before the seal is plyable. You can get somewhat rough with the lense covers when prying them away from the housing - they're fairly tough material.

the angel eyes look like CCFL rings. We are doing a a quad bi-xenon projector retro on my son's 04 G35 and it will have those CCFL rings around the four projetors.
