I30 0903 code evap can control valve

On 1996 I30 I've got an evap canister control valve circuit fault Code 0903 . Wire color code would indicate that this is the device mounted on the charcoal filter . Is it replaceable? I've noticed the vehicle does not make the light humming sound back near this system on vehicle shutdown anymore. Is this related to my code problem? Can I pull the plug on device and check volts? 12vdc? Where would I buy buy a replacement for control valve if it is faulty?

i believe that code to be very self explainatory. i would just look to see if the valve has come unplugged, if not, it me be a short or other wiring issue. there is the possibility it might have to be replaced, and if this is the case, you might have to replace that valve and canister together.
