Well yah just wondering when it decides to be a stupid motor.

Lol got the clip and installed and it ran fine took it to a guy that had a 500hp sr and he messed with timeing and of course timed wrong and said it was somthing else causeing it. said that i had alot of leaks and i need to get a fmic with pipeing so i get that install it and same problem i decided to fix the timeing and waa la it works. i go for a test drive and whats that sound its like metal high pitched squeel well what do you know its my gosh darn turbo. i hit some boost and bang the ****er gives in and dies. so now i have to turbo and my car is a sad panda. just wondering why i got a sr and didnt turbo the ka.

cuz you'd probably have other problems with the ka like spinning a bearing at rod #3...

not to mention blwon ring lands and bent rods.. and greanaded block.

Anyways, SRs can be a pain just like any other engine it's not like KAs have less problems.

Work it out.. it takes time but in the end you will like it.

ya bro dont doubt yourself you made a good choice but just had a few unlucky mishaps..work em out in the end you'll be very happy you didnt give up..and having the turbo hit the sh!ts on you isnt so bad is it? just a good reason to upgrade

So far my SR is 100% problemless... except my electric fans died but that would have happend with a KA anyway.

yeah could have been worse. you could have over run a v8 jag only to have one of your rocker arms come flying off, before it flys off completely it pushes down on one of your valves farther than normal, the valve snaps and flys around the inside of your combustion chamber punching a nice hole into your piston, bending a rod, marring a crank just in the block and the carnage up top is just the same as if you had a flying off rocker arm. Seriously, it could be worse. I also chased down a mafs problem for about a month before I figured it out. It's part of the deal and you get over it.

you could've not had an intercooler while your fans weren't working and your radiator cap wasn't sealing properly, so you overheated and also didn't have a bov, so you were getting hot intake air, the pipe from the turbo str8 to the intake was getting hot itself from the heat soak in the engine bay, and compressor surge was hurting your poor turbo, and your windows AND a/c weren't working causing you AND your engine to bake in the hot tropical air......

damn I'm never going through that again....
