I went down to the lake today.

And took these pictures from just south of Muskegon. If you want to you can click the images for larger pictures, they do look better that way.

Looking down from the bluff, I'm guessing 150+ vertical feet from the water. You can see the curvature of the Earth, oooooh, and a few sandbars just offshore.

Looking SSW from just above the beach down the shoreline. The Grand Haven lighthouse is about 10 miles down but barely visible.

Thank you. The camera did most of the work on the Auto setting 10x, but I thought it did an okay job. I think I might try to chuck a disc off that bluff one of these days when I'm bored. I live only 4 miles from this public park, and I love that MI didn't sell every inch of shoreline off to uber-wealthy buyers.
