i have a b13 sitting in the garage waiting for a new engine. i want to stick with the ga16, but i'm finding it quite difficult to find one in my area.

although, since the transmission is auto, i was thinking of switching to manual...just wondering what exactly would i need to change, and around how much will it cost me?

A whole lot. I had a b13 XE automatic. I to had this same thought to do a auto to manual transmission swap but decided against it once I saw how much it would take to make it happen. I advise just getting a b13 w/ a 5spd already. BUT if you want to do the swap.. you'll need

the transmission itself5spd eculinkage brake and clutch pedal m/t cross memebershifter & bootflywheel clutch kitmight need transaxle/axles & motor mounts also+... (might be forgeting other things too)

Question: Why are you putting a Ga16de in b13? get a usdm or jdm sr20de engine and run with that if the engine's already out. not much performance out of a Ga without some serious money put into it.. Just seems like alot to be doing to a non-Se-r automatic sentra.. Adivse I got that I will pass on, "..get a car w/ more of what you want then mod it from there and repair the cosemetic things.." GL with everything.

i was thinking about that too, but i don't see the point of that, an sr20 with an automatic transmission? it's almost like slapping a vtec sticker on a non-vetec honda?

not only that, but my budget is now gone down to $700

Ooh ok.. well then I'd advise just droppin' Ga in and leaving it Auto for now and look for a 5spd as your next ride then.. or sell the rolling b13 chassis and try to get one now from your 700 and the money off car..
