You're correct. There's more info here on KA > SR swaps than anywhere on the web.

Start here: http://www.240sxTech.com, then read the SR engine forum...

LOL. Maybe the bright red button is too technical for you?

All signals originate with the ECU. Are you talking about the distributor?

the engine doesn't have a distributer there has to be a pickup from something like a cam sensor or crank sensor to tell the coil packs when to fire the computer has to get its signal from somewhere.

I'm pretty sure there is one and if you don't have one that would be your problem LOL.

maybe this is too technical for you. how can an engine have a distributer when it has a seperate coil for each individual spark plug that is why they call it coil over. distributerless

I have a spare ECU that you can test. You just have to pay shipping both ways. Any mods done to the car?

The tech forums don't get much traffic. The RWD SR forum would be your best bet. I had originally assumed you were talking about a KA. Ionno. Long night.

if 1 and 3 are firing, i'd suggest doing a quick continuity test across the ignitor.

People get tired of telling other people to search.I guess it`s my turn...SEARCH using the search button. Most all questions have been asked at one time or another from 2003 on.Ask the right questions and you shall find your answers. I did my swap using "project car magazine", google, and searching this and other forums and of course a lifetime of doing my own mechanical repairs and maintenance.

I had the same problem on my car after the SR swap and it was the ignitor...but also check to make sure the ecu harness/socket/plug is tight.
