I came accross a pic of a 240 that had some nice wheels, I did a little research and found out that the wheels come 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 in the rear.Is this too wide. I know that statement sounds generic, but they are a good deal, already on a 240, and effen sweet.thanks.

Too wide? Well wideness definately won't hurt anything. 18 inch rims are pretty large for a 240 though, and in those sizes, those things are gonna be pretty damn heavy. This will cause your car to be slower, reduce braking ability, etc, etc.

well my car is a S13. I do think 18's are too large, but its a good deal. I will sacrifice braking power for blingage...for now anyway. I am looking for some 16x7 16x8 meshies...

Really, what's another 30 or 40lbs of unsprung weight, right? Aren't some light 17" enough bling?

You'll probably end up running some ridiculously low profile tires, and you'll become deathly afraid of potholes.

Just out of curiousity, what's the offset of these wheels?

youngmanvr4 is a winner....Yeah, I am looking at those sport max 962's on eBay. They normally run about 550 shipped. That aint too shabby....I dont remember the offset, but there is a pic of a 240 on here with those wheels and it looks OK. My stock wheels have a bad finish on them, it looks like some one sprayed a very abrasive cleaning solution on them and didn't rinse too well and the heat from braking didn't help.

For show Sport Max's are awesome.

For anything else I question them. I love the look but just the weight kills. The off-set on 18x7.5 is +38, the off-set on 18x8.5-9.5 is +35. For 17's its 17x7 +40 and 17x9 +35.

Here is a whole thread about them.

Other then the weight I would get them in a heart beat...but I'm going to get some FN's in 17x9 +20 when that make it in silver this spring.

Hmm bling instead of enhancement, sounds like something may decide to give in from unsprung weight. Myself, I'm going for Konig Holes, 18x 7.5, front and 18x 9.5 rear, but they have correct offset for my year s-14, and are lightweight.

lol, i havent read the rest of this thread, but koenig deffinitley does not offer anything close to "correct offset" for s14s.
