do not revalve your own shocks
That's what I needed to know. I'll call around tomorrow. Thanksbribot wrote:holy **** nice find.... those are pretty good coils. yes send them to apexi. just because you've had 3 s14's doesnt mean you can revalve shocks. leave that to the guys that do it all day.
Hey, I have same coilovers and they are also in need of a rebuild. I can't seem to find Apexi's contact information on the web anywhere only info on their dealers. Do you think you can post up or email me their contact information. Thanks!98s14inaz wrote:I just wanted to give an update. I called apexi and got a machine when I tried to talk to sales. So I called back and talked to tech support who was very helpful.
The guy's name was Keith. He told me to fill out the warranty card (even though they aren't under warranty) and fax it to him. He said he would call me back with a RMA number. He did with in an hour after receiving the fax.
Now I just need to send them to APEXi with the RMA number all over the box. $140.75 an axle (about $70 each shock).
I will update on time frame and quality of the work done when I get them back.
I realize this seems kind of trivial being so detailed on the process but it would be nice having the info available on one page for someone else to search for if needed.
For those coilovers I would pay the 510$ in a heartbeat. Go for it, if you don't like them in the end you can always sell them for a profit.98s14inaz wrote:So you guys think it is worth it? I've never dealt with an item like this before.
