well it's been a while since i made or did anything to my car, so i made a coil pack cover out of aluminum. pretty simple. i have sheets of aluminum handy, so i cut to width and length, drop 4 holes in and done? sorta. i made some spacers out of steel for venting the little heat under there. i then polished it. because of my spacing i needed to find proper bolts to secure this thing. i found that m5 .80x25 worked for me. done.. enjoy..

i had more pics but they came out crappy, even using two drop lights to get more of an exposure.

the coils are known to bake under their covers. thats why people run coverless.

lol, yeah, i'm not afraid of the coil heating issue. i spaced the cover about 1/2mm above the rim. with all the air flow from fans i think it'll be alright. also aluminum will help dissipate heat. the stock cover tends to trap heat with a lip and it has a basic gasket. also it's made of a plastic which will hold onto heat.

yeah, i can powder coat your valve cover. it's a long turn around cause i'm crazy busy at work. i really dont like to do it outside local. i wont do the blue, because that's my signature, but other colors are open...

thanks, i was running cover less too. i was bored. lol. i'm such a huge fan of simple looking things.

i plan on doing something with it, i just have to plan it out. stickers are out of the question. with heat they will peal.

btw the valve cover is in gloss, but i applied a little bit of oil on it to protect it while i store it.

i'm thinking of powder coating it to match my valve cover, i know the marbling wont match up. but i'm wondering if it'll still look good and blend in.

nice

guess it's too hard to bevel the edges with a chamfer tool

and maybe punch out some holes through the cover w/ "your name" or "shocker" on the cover

or make a plate and rivet it to the cover like the following pic:

or a combo of any of the above
